Federal Funding Program

The Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council serves as the Countywide (sub-regional) Board in the allocation of some federal transportation grant funds to projects within Kitsap County, through the Puget Sound Regional Council. The Kitsap Project Selection Process is an adopted process to identify and prioritize specific projects.

2013-14 Funding Cycle

This spring KRCC will distribute $9.89 million in Federal Transportation Funding for road improvement projects in Kitsap. KRCC will also develop a set of projects for submission to a regional competition for federal funds, distributed by the Puget Sound Regional Council. KRCC's Transportation Policy Committee and Technical Advisory Committee will work closely to develop recommendations for KRCC Board approval in the coming months.

July 2011, Federal Contingency Funding: At their July meeting, the KRCC Transportation Policy Committee recomended a set of projects to the KRCC Exeuctive Board for funding through federal funds availalbe this year as part of the 2011-2013 Federal Funding Cycle. View the project application forms.
