Washington   State Office of Financial                       Management (OFM)  tracks  and projects population growth throughout the                         State. Under the Growth Management Act, counties are required to   estimate                       population growth in order to define and   project the public facilities                       necessary to  support  it. This population projection is fundamental to                         Growth Management and is based on OFM’s population forecasting.                         Population Distribution is coordinated through  the Kitsap  Regional                       Coordinating Council and  adopted by  Kitsap County. During 2010, the                       Kitsap  Regional  Coordinating Council will review adopted population                         distribution (2004) and update through 2030. Updates will  be posted  here.
