Harnessing new technologies to increase organizational flexibility, streamline business practices, increase resilience (Disaster Preparedness & Continuation of Operations), create cost efficiencies and meet the changing needs and desires of our customers is the subject of the 2012 Techno-Tools Event Series hosted by KRCC.

Applicable to public agencies, private-business and non-profit organizations, the series will take place over the next year, sharing information - including an overview, business and legal requirements, financial implications, and examples of implementation- with management and other appropriate staff, and offer tools help you adapt and adopt the following business practices:

  • July 26 Paperless Office Strategies
  • September 27 Practical Strategies for Effective Virtual Collaboration

The Kitsap Emergency Response Network (Kit-Net) is an initiative sponsored by the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council in partnership with the Kitsap Public Utility District and its 120+ mile countywide fiber backbone.

The network will link all Kitsap public agencies, including the public schools and library branches that are the heart of many Kitsap communities and neighborhoods. Kit~Net will facilitate public agency communications during all types of emergencies.
