Collaboration among public agencies and jurisdictions on infrastructure planning (for instance,
the Solid Waste Transfer Facility) and service delivery (for instance, solid waste) is an important
function of the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council. To accomplish this, each jurisdiction's
Public Works Director is a member of the Council's Public Works Group. This Group meets quarterly
to share information, develop proposed policy recommendations for review by the Council's Board
and individual members, and collaborate on more efficient ways to provide services to residents
throughout Kitsap County.
